Some people could be getting the game as early as tonight. This thread is to share those first impressions.

This is not a thread for asking about individual player ratings and the like.

Feel free to start new threads, but people like to have a one-stop-shop for game info.

First thing I noticed, the Phillies are ranked 5th overall! That's entirely too high...

Meh, forget overall ratings... they are the average of the players' overall ratings, which will give players like Thome, Abreu, Milwood, etc. extremely high.

Damn, you're lucky!


Can you just see if Joe Young can be edited (like skin color, face, etc.), and can you see if the game has some sort of audio name database? If you just type in Bonds, you will find out, because the game will either say "Audio name database match found!"

And, this isn't concerning rosters, but can you go into Presentation or whatever and see what the different batting and fielding cameras are?

how the gameplay? do the hitters still look like they're batting with toothpicks? how are the swings? I haven't watched any videos for this game or MVP surprisingly. My first look will be when i pick them both up today.

Can you tell me about the editing interface & create-a-player interface?

A few direct questions;

1. Can you edit player ratings from the team roster screen (like in 2k4) without having to enter a special player edit screen?

2. Is EVERY rating/physical attribute editable for both major & minor league guys?
