    Charging the mound

I love this game! I can go from blowing someone out to winning a nailbiter to losing a nailbiter to getting blown out. Its very realistic. The other day, however, I was getting blown out and there pitcher in the bottom of the 9th drills my first batter with the first pitch. I so wanted to charge the mound. Is it possible?

I have not seen the option for it, nor have I had an opposing batter charge me. It may not be in the game.

The last game I saw this in was MVP 05. It wasn't in 2K6 ethier. It needs to be in the game though.

Maybe MLB won't let them do it anymore.

Meh, I thought the novelty wore off pretty quickly. I think I recall the feature being in MVP 05 and 2K5???

They never actually had the fights, and that is probably just as well. Video Hockey games have tried to have fights for more than a decade and they have never been even close to realistic.

Ha, I remember YEARS ago on a hockey game called Blades of Steel by Konami (I think), you could actually initiate and participate in fights! I know this is off topic, but this made me think of that game.

I think most hockey games had some type of fight mechanism where the combatants stand 4 feet apart exchanging blows until someone is knocked out and the other is still standing. When in reality, most hockey fights are clutch & grab fests that result in both guys hugging on the ground, and not many solid punches landing.

                Re: Charging the mound

Yeah a few years ago (05 was the last one that had it I believe) MLB forced, at the time, MLB, MLB 2k and MVP to not have fighting at all in the game. I thought last year's game they would start to go but not show anything though...
