I think it's something like 5 months or so.

Did Visual Concepts get a late start on the cycle?

Re: The MLB 2K9 Developers Are Listening

Well i just watched a leaked video of NBA 2k9 and the Opening presentation to the games on that game are basically perfect. The complete overhaul in menus and the video used in the beginning looks fantastic and blurs the line of reality and gaming.

Someone posted this before get rid of the hallway shots and pretty much anything showing the crowd. The fans look rediculous if you going to have a cutscene, show the players or if they are of the crowd, make sure the detail is put into them and not some generic 2k shirt on them, dumb hat and low res model.

Cursor Hitting. This needs to be brought back before I can even consider taking the title seriously.

I bought and kept 2k8 for exactly two weeks, then traded it in. 2k7 (post patch) was a very good game. here's what's need for the upcoming game.
1- better graphics, more like 2k7
2-better hit variety. bloop base hits get pretty old pretty quickly
3-more playoff atmosphere if your team is in a race for playoff contention
4-better lighting i.e. shadows moving across the field, etc.
5- keep the controls simple...or at least leave them the same for two consecutive seasons.
6- better facial models of players, even the created ones.

Re: The MLB 2K9 Developers Are Listening

MLB 2k9 needs.....

1)Pitchers that throw balls/strikes like real like counterparts

2)Fully fleshed out managerial/player styles that steal, hit & run, etc, etc

3)Meatballs that also go out of strike zone..Not such a high percentage of these should be homeruns. That one is beat to death but stil true

4)Large variants of semi-realistic classic teams that can be used in playoff style tourneys.2k share for roster names.

5)A realsitic control for pitchers to rewind their set-up online...No more pitch a second cheesers that way...Better online play overall as well.

6)A superstar type mode

7)Better manager mode with more options and choice between gamecast and actually watching game while managing.

8)Game highlights package where user can dub music or their own voice...Ideqally, you could make series or season vvideo/auido highlights that could extend several minutes...Perhaps use the 360/CPU hookup for that one if memeory a problem..Well, we're probably not gonna get anything like that for 5 years.

Very good requests, and LOL at #5, which is also funny because it's true.
