Best framerate/graphics for 2K8?

Last spring someone posted on these forums some optimum settings for the best frame rate and graphics in 2K8 for the 360. I can't find the thread, but if I recall correctly they said 4 PM, default uniforms, with no wind (calm). I tried that and while it seemed better, it was still choppy.

Now, after I installed the game to the hard drive, it did get even better. Still not all the way there, but better. But then I tried one more thing, and that was with OVERCAST skies. Now maybe it's just me, but I swear the game has never looked or played better.

Even though it's overcast, there is still some lighting and reflections. It isn't overpowering though, just a hint of lighting and shading, and that seems to help the frame rate.

What caught me by surprise was the improvement in the dirt and grass. The grass in particular looks a lot better compared to other times and lighting. I'm playing a game at Busch right now and the grass looks darker, richer, fuller.

Even the player faces look better with the undertoned lighting and shading.

Maybe it's just me (it probably is), but I would say if you are jonesing for some baseball and have 2K8, give it a shot with 4 PM, overcast, calm winds and default home/away jerseys (white or gray).

let me make this clear so it doesnt seem harsh im in no way saying Hawk is sad, just the fact that you have to go through all of this just to get a half decent game out of 2k8.

No disrespect taken Crash. It's all good. I'm just after the best experience possible with this game, and those time/weather settings after installing to the hard drive are the best I've seen the game look and move. While I can't wait to see what 2K9 will have in store for us, luckily my wife came through with a PS3 for x-mas. Like many of you, now I'll have a choice of MLB experiences this spring!
