Re: ESPN photo gallery
The lighting doesn't seem up to par for a game developed for strong hardware like the 360. It may just be the screenshots though. I don't know.. I do realize it's a night game by the way. The crowd looks interesting though.Last edited by mike360; 02-06-2009, 02:05 AM. -

I agree with you. They do look better at IGN. I mean, damn, MLB 2K7 looked very nice. I'd hate to see them take another step backward this year. I don't think they will visually.Comment

The screens have the 360 trigger and back button icons.
I just hope for 360 owner's sake, that they dont pull another, early shots look nice, then towards release they somehow worsen.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

I'm pretty sure Ron already confirmed a while ago that those pics were taken in extremely low res conditions and is no way representative of what the game actually looks like in normal conditions.Comment

Re: ESPN photo gallery
Those are high resolution images scaled down. Places like IGN have been guilty of doing this in the past and it messes up the actual quality.
The only issue I have with the graphics so far is the field textures. They are too flat and have little depth. They obviously do this to keep the framerate in check so the game doesn't have to render so much at one time. The player models are nice, with proper dimensions and I really like the crisp layovers.
Looking good.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

That BTP cam is amazing. I'm in love.
I do like that the Control Rating seems to be important (along with Composure and Stamina). Hopefully, that means something when pitching."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
