Got the game, and i will post full impressions later but here is some quick things after i played 2 games. But the cursor hitting is the best thing EVER!!!!!! yea i wish i wasn't the whole bat or it was faded a bit, but let me tell you the physics on were you make contact is greeeeeeeaaaaattttt! when you hit a homer which was only 2 in 4 games i felt i deserved it.

Also i dont know if this was talked about.... But new to 2k9 when you hit the ball you actually see were it comes off the bat for a split second before the camera changes to the fielding one nice touch, i dont think that was implemented last couple of years.

I love the pitching view but sometimes its hard to get a good jump on the ball because you dont get a good idea were the ball comes off the bat and when it changes view balls already by.

Some questions about roster editing in anyone has gotten into that yet:

What's the limit on editing players? 50? 100?

Can you change skin tone, date of birth, numbers, positions, and height/weight?

I know this has been asked in the rosters area but nobody has answered.

He is not going to bash an EA game because then they would not send him all over the country to play their games.
He really tried to make the whole add thing in MLB 2K9 into too big of a deal. After reading his article I was pretty sure that these adds in 2K9 are the cause of cancer, the bad economy, are running the Taliban, ect.

Can somebody tell me why when I use total control pitching when I go into my first motion I am not seeing the green circle expand outwards? I dont I just see a small yellow circle...

What you do is hold the first motion until the yellow circle expands to fill up the whole circle/close to it, then you do the second motion.

As far as pitching and fooling batters (cause someone mentioned it), IE is the best way to figure it out. The caveat is it's really hard to strike someone out if either A) you don't have a pitch that they're weak against, or B) they aren't really weak against anything. Really good hitters have not struck out at all. But against guys who can't hit a curve to save their lives, I can catch them looking.

Maybe sliders can help this. Will try today.

Rented the game... and I want my money back! Zone hitting is nice apart from the cheesy, in-your-face bat cursor. Past that, all I'll say is that OS' review of the game is spot on, including the score. I simply could not give this game a 7. Oh, and the player faces and skin textures are beyond hideous -- Night Of The Living Dead Baseball 2K9! Yeesh.

I feel like an idiot. The whole time I was playing the demo I was just doing the first motion and not the second one. I guess I'm clueless but it seemed to work pretty decent just doing that.
