IDK if anyone has asked yet, but what are the other options for baserunning controls? I really didn't like the controls for baserunning in the demo.

Ditto.....but with all of these fielding snafus being in the final game, the love (like) is fading fast. It was a problem in the demo and they clearly didn't fix it before release.

I can handle some flaws in my games because I know that we will never see a "Perfect" game, but when it affects gameplay on the field, that's when I run for the hills.

Thanks for the honest impressions, I've read enough to know that I'll be saving $60 by avoiding this game

Has anyone played any of the minor league games yet? Can we get a screenshot or two?

Eureka!

I am able to replicate the issue where the first baseman's foot doesn't touch the bag. I saw it three times while playing the demo today -- and all three times, I maxed out the throwing meter. In essence, the throw "pulled" the first baseman off the bag -- even though there is essentially little to no animation for it.

I couldn't figure out what was causing this problem, because it only happened to user controlled teams and not the CPU.

That issue, at least, appears to be an "error" where there is no animation for one. Does that make sense?

Re: ***Official MLB 2K9 Retail Version Impressions***

Please continue to comment on the CPU batting. Play a team that is known for working the count/discipline. Are they working the count? Pitch counts are important to baseball games, in my opinion.
If anyone gets a chance, will they try this out on higher levels like All Star, and try tweaking some sliders you think might increase CPU batting discipline.

What about CPU pitching? Do they ever walk you if you are disciplined? I walked once in the demo which is encouraging, and I wasn't even really that good at reading pitches yet after playing the Show all the time due to the differences.

I may have to hold off on purchasing this game this year until some users who like real baseball like me (not saying you guys don't) comment on it.

Just one more comment. I have both the PS3 and 360 demo, and the 360 demo has the fielder slow down, but not the PS3 version. Is this true with the retail version?

Thanks.
