Not surprised to see positive impressions start rolling in. Good lord I can't wait to get some action in, left my 360 at my other house. Going to try out the PC demo tonight hopefully and may have to pick this up. Thinking I can hold off on getting a PS3.

Re: ***Official MLB 2K9 Retail Version Impressions***

My only major issue is the inability to edit signature stances/windups:

After playing one game Dodgers vs. Angels...

VC actually did a good job on the stances. Great, but not amazing in regards to accuracy. However, the thing I liked was the amount.

Out of the 18 stances and 4 windups I saw only 2-3 weren't signature. (Morales, Izturis & Loretta, Blake)

I think the attitude for VC was, "Because we won't let gamers edit the stances were going to put in as many as we can."

I really like it, and appreciate it

Hey, first defensive play of the game - routine grounder, first baseman (Mark Teixeira, Gold Glover) forgets where first is!

Instead of

"Hey, we're going to make this as accurate a baseball game as possible!"

I'd rather have a run down piece of crap that goes 100,000 miles than a Ferrarri that breaks down every 50 feet.

Oh, and it's Every Fielder Can Make Circus Catchers time, too.

* * *

And now the CPU misses first on a routine grounder.

That's twice in less than 1 inning, folks.

Pessimism is when you expect something to be bad.

This isn't expectation. This is observation.

Cano got taken out on a slide. He wasn't bowled over, but he was tied up enough that he couldn't throw til way too late.

Am I the only one who hasn't seen this happen AT ALL on a routine grounder with an accurate throw?
