EDIT: I stand corrected. It happened to me this evening for the first time. I made a perfect throw and got the runner by a few strides, but alas, his foot was off the bag. I apologize, it's a glitch. Do you accept my apology OS?

Guys, the first basemen taking his foot off the bag is not a glitch...
Honestly I think it's well implemented. You're probably thinking I'm nuts. But it's true. The first basemen is taking his foot off the bag because you're not aiming the left thumbstick accurately enough. If you don't aim the stick directly at the base you're gonna pull him off the bag. Its happened to me twice so far and both tomes was my fault, I pulled him off the bag. I understand VC caused some glitches but don't blame them for user mistakes please.the controls have been dumbed down enough, we don't need any further dumbing down.

to be honest, i think you're wrong. It happens even when you have the button throwing and not the stick throwing...
why would it happen with that then? The button base throwing doesn't even use the left stick at all and i've seen him come off the bag even if the ball is thrown directly at the 1st basemanYankees, Manchester United, Chicago Bears, New York Rangers -

Yep, I have the PC version and only use the buttons and it happen to me a few times already. And I'm not presssing it hard to where the red is, it does it on the green bar, so to me, this is a bug that needs to be fixed.

Re: Guys, the first basemen taking his foot off the bag is not a glitch...
i think it does have to do with the control. it is a bug but when i first got the game i saw it quite a bit, havent seen it since in about 5 games which leads me to believe it's something the user is doing. It's still a bug though. i also notice it will throw home automatically if there is a runner on 3rd. Even if the runner on 3rd isnt trying to score. its like certain things are scripted weird. ive had runners safe at first because it throws home for some reason.Comment

hes talking about the left stick... not the right. the left stick can aim where you throw the ball... left of the bag or right of the bagDodgers, Lakers, Anaheim Ducks, Raiders, Oregon DucksComment

Re: Guys, the first basemen taking his foot off the bag is not a glitch...
i think it's just a slight bug, probably related to the animations and we should stop trying to find some hidden/******** reason for the dev team to have purposely put it in there...
i've seen it happen when i throw the guy out bt 50 ft and it seems to me that the animation is the problem, nothing to do with throwing off/online
but hey, if some of you guys want to believe this was purposely done for a sim feel, by all means go ahead, lol

Re: Guys, the first basemen taking his foot off the bag is not a glitch...
There is an animation or something missing then, because a lot of times the 1B appears to catch the ball in stride as he is standing on 1st and the runner is still called safe and the thrower is given an error.Favorite Sports Teams
