Having an issue with game locking up right after loading a roster

This wasn't happening before but as of today when I try to load a roster I download from 2k Share or anything other roster that wasn't the roster that loaded up during the game start-up the game instantly freezes. I click load roster, it says ok and I click it and then the whole game freezes and I have to turn off my Xbox.

Has anyone had this problem?

I even installed the game on my X-box to see if it was a disc drive issue, but I got the same thing. Now this didn't happen two days ago when I was playing the game. Not sure if I need to return the game or if it is an issue with my Xbox only. Right now I am giving my Xbox a break since I was playing Watchmen and some other demos prior to starting MLB. Would appreciate anyone letting me know if they have had any issues today or at all like this.

Also if someone has the time can they download a new 2k share roster and then try to load it to see if they have any issues. I know it might be my copy is the issue, but seems odd that it was working fine two days ago and hasn't even ben taken out of my 360 so shouldn't have a new scratch or something. Thanks to anyone that tries this.

I've had that issue to and I did the same thing you did (installing game onto the XBox itself)

I wonder if it's a corruption issue? That after it saves the roster corrupts if the Living Roster overwrites it?

Thanks for the response. So is it currently still an issue for you or are you able to download and load any new rosters?

I've had these problems too, looked at the 2k forums and no solutions so far...I'm wondering if you disable the auto update and delete any saved rosters, then try to download. Its hard for me to believe that only a few of us are having this issue.

I had the same issue as well, my only workable solution was to delete all my Roster files from HD before booting game.

It then checked Living Rosters at boot and downloaded the new ones from today.

Not great but the game works at least.

I deleted all my rosters and tried that originally, but it still froze after loading a roster. I didn't turn off living rosters though. I will try that next. Thanks for the responses guys. I am also surprised if we are the only ones dealing with this, but if most people are alrady running a franchise with a roster file then they won't have an issue I guess.

I think it has to be an issue with the most recent living roster that was auto downloaded and saved. Because I had no issue with this at all two days ago and was downloading and loading several different 2kshare rosters to check them out as well as ones I was making myself and just saving on my HD. Hopefully this may mean the next one won't have any issues.

Hopefully people from 2k have noticed this thread since I see that they responded here about the Cubs lack of day games issue.

Same issue here, bought the game today...

I also bought it today, and was looking forward to comparing rosters, alas...it also froze. Here's hoping that it's not a major issue.

Well now I am seeing that if not fixed in the next roster update it is going to be an issue for most people at some point which will mean it has to come to 2k's attention. I hope more people that deal with this will post here to help bring it to their attention as well.

Count me as another one who's game locks up every time I load a Roster. I Can Load a Roster as long as it's not a 2k Share Roster. I erased all my rosters and just saved the new update. I can Load that, but that's all. More Problems!!!
