Anyway good luck with this one.
Actually you can't I user control 4 teams:

PHI/WAS/BAL/KC

Yea...he's always had the stuff, just not the durability. I'm rather excited to see what I can get out of him too. Will keep you posted in the FRANCHISE PROGRESS thread.

The Nats rotation now looks like:

1 Wang
2 Lannan
3 Kip Wells
4 Scott Olsen
5 Mark Mulder
I actually never settled on the Wang trade for Washington.

Instead I started the season w/ Balester as the #4 w/ Lannan, Wells, and Olsen being 1-3.

With Kearns, Nick Johnson, and Lastings Milledge on the block I got a trade offer 2-3 weeks into the season w/ the Padres offering Chris Young for Milledge.

I added Colin Balester to the deal, and SD sent me SP Chris Young.

So now Washington's 5-man Rotation is:

R - Chris Young
L - John Lannan
L - Scott Olsen
R - Kip Wells
L - Mark Mulder

Thoughts?

Re: MLB 2K9 RATE MY TRADE THREAD

Roommate and I are playing a co-op franchise with the San Francisco Giants (Me) and the Oakland Athletics (him).

He needed another starting pitcher with Justin Duchscherer, Dallas Braden and a Mid-relief pitcher ALL going down with injuries in early April (typical Oakland team, I say)

He put Brad Ziegler (85 OVR) on the trading block and received offers from the Detroit Tigers (Justin Verlander, 85 OVR) and another team (crap, now I can't remember) offering a position player for Ziegler.

He took the Verlander trade and will actually have him square off against C.C. Sabathia in the new Yankee Stadium in a few *video game* days.

Re: MLB 2K9 RATE MY TRADE THREAD

Thinking of trading Edgar Renteria (79 OVR) to the Reds for Willy Tavarez (80 contact vs. Left; 82 contact vs. Right; 99 speed; 90 bunt) and maybe a prospect if I can milk one from them.

I desperately need some more contact as my offense has been anemic in the first two months of the season (2-27 when scoring 2 or less runs, 59% of total games).

I'd be saving 6 mil. each year for the next two years with the trade, and I need another outfielder anyway.

I know I've given all the reasons FOR this trade, but anyone think that this could be better (or is a bad idea in general?)

Ouch, arrieta for gorzo was way to much. Patton I dont know much about as with yee but I do know arrieta and just given the fact that he is one of the top prospect pitchers in the game and his age VS gorzo that was way to much to give up. But hey, if you want a LHP that bad!

Re: MLB 2K9 RATE MY TRADE THREAD

Funny you mention trading away kearns I feel the exact same way. I cant stand having him which is why willingham is doing my work in right field. Why not trade away kearns, johnson, and milledge get primo pitching talent and bring up chris marrero or destin hood (assuming you made them of course!) and move dunn's slow behind to first. (even though I say slow he has been a vaccum in LF making some unbelievable web gems.)
