I only go by trading players if they get a trading block offer, or the CPU has placed them there. No hits have come from having Dunn, Johnson, or Kearns on the block.

I'm in yr 2010 in my 'chise. Dunn's contract expires at the end of the year, and seeing as how I control both WAS and KC (PHI/BAL too). KC needs a bat that can hit righties. Dunn fits that need perfectly.

Thing is I'm hung up on what to offer. My choices are slim. WAS can use pitching and I've got Kyle Davies (expiring contract, 78 OVR). As far as position players go I could maybe send 2B Alberto Callaspo who is a 74 OVR. WAS doesn't need outfielders or corner infielders. Davies would become their 3rd highest rated pitcher.

What would be a fair deal for Dunn?

I made 2 deals with the pirates,

Traded Nate McLouth, Brandon Moss and a Minor Leaguer to Yankees for Swisher and Joba Chamberlain.

Then Traded Tom Gorzelanny, Jack Wilson and Minor Leaguer to Arizona for Stephen Drew.

I know I got over on the CPU, but I wanted some power in my lineup. Might Start Franchise over anyways cause want to update some of the rosters and was just learning how to play the game and kept tinkering with sliders. now that I got them where I want them might start over and see if I can build Pittsburgh up to a contender

right off the bat i knew i would need middle infield help so i went to the mets and got argenis reyes a second basemen with decent fielding all above 70 good speed 80 and good contact for being 26, 60 59. i also got jerry hecht a huge prospect seems mlb ready and bobby hampton pitcher 23 could start when twenty five i only got rid of Francisco Liriano who seems to continuely struggle

approaching the trade deadline im 3 games ahead of the red sox. aj burnett injured, wang pitching horrible, and im down to 4 starters- hughes, sabathia, pettite and chamberlain. I trade Melky Cabrera (giving brett gardner the full time job) and brian bruney for jeremy guthrie. AJ burnett later returns in time for NYY to get there 27th world series, in a 6 game series against the Mets

something interesting to consider: if you sim for long periods of time (like, simming weeks), the CPU will offer you a trade pretty much every day. If you dont sim for long periods of time, youll rarely ever get offers.

Examples:

In my Marlins franchise, Ive played almost every game and never simmed more than 3 at a time, and have only gotten 1 offer from the CPU. It is now mid-August.

- In my Yankee franchise, however, I simmed the 1st season and got around 20 offers from the CPU, and also saw a TON of CPU trading.

So i just started a Red Sox franchise and I'm thinking about trading Mike Lowell, that way I could shift Youkilis to 3rd, play Martinez at 1st, and put Varitek behind the plate. I just finished April and have had Lowell on the block since the start of the season with no offers, but I don't want to have to keep shuffling my lineup to get everybody playing time, so what do you guys think I should I do? If I do trade Lowell I would prefer to get a speedy OF who bats left so I could use him to split time with J.D Drew in RF.
