Are you serious??? That's not good. How about the commentating when the relief pitchers come in, is that messed up also?

Yeah I hate to be that guy who has his experience kind of ruined by one thing, but that's a real bummer for me. Playing 2-player games with the lock-in pitch in 2k9 was a real task, with you constantly having to wonder if your opponent heard your controller rumble and having the game break down to a "guess if he locked on where you think he did before he swirled the cursor all over the screen" type of deal.

The good news is that everything else sounds pretty tight. A solid move in the right direction it'd appear.

Yes...when playing two players on a single console...the pitching cursor does fade out. You can test it in the demo by setting up a 2 player game. The pitch selections still show...but the other player cant see what you chose.

Re: Official MLB 2K10 Impressions (360/PS3)

Just started my third game:

1. The scoreboard updates in real time. I scored 2 runs and the scoreboard updated immediately, DURING the play. It didn't wait for the next play to start, I saw it update.

2. You can DEFINITELY see the difference between good pitchers and mediocre pitchers. I'm facing Joe Blanton now with the Yanks and have already hit a 2-RBI triple with Cano (I lowered the CPU fielder speed to 0 as Joe did).

Same on All-Star, CPU is much more patient and will take strikes and make you throw strikes.

When you fired it up the first time, did it prompt you for a title update (i.e. the check swing patch)?? If yes, can you try a few check swings and see if it's actually possible to hold up a swing?? How do the check swings look??
