I picked up the game last night, but was finally able to play it today (bought Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with a few other friends last night; if you've played that game you know why I haven't had the chance to play MLB 2k10).

First thing that disappoints me is that it seems VC cut out a lot of the real-time presentation they had in the game last year. I miss seeing all the different camera cuts during dead periods, and even the post pitch sequences appear to be cut out. I think it may be possible that there is a glitch in the "quick play" option, and it isn't fully turned off even when you change it in the options menu. I'm off to play some more of it so I can get a feel for the gameplay.

I hit two doubles in my game yesterday and the AI hit a tripple.

Is there any warning/ejection for hitting multiple batters?

There was nothing in the demo.

I do remember they had this in 2K7, not sure about 2K8 til now.

* are the graphics really worse in My Player mode than regular play?

* is it possible to control your slide during a steal attempt? In the demo, I can control my slide while baserunning, but every steal attempt ends in a lame feet first slide...and tag out. is it different during that slow down effect?

* is there an errors slider and does it work? we need way more IF's knocking the ball down but not making a throw, etc...


seems to me a custom or official 2k roster is needed with:

- all players arm strength AND accuracy edited down
- all pitchers fielding and range edited down A LOT

baserunning also needs to be lowered, of course theres a slider for this, but this worries me that steals will then become impossible. I couldnt steal with overly fast baserunners, how am I gonna steal with a slowed down version? 2k ALWAYS gets this balance wrong.

I think they always have the fielders throwing speed too fast because their baserunners are always too fast. I hit sharp routine grounders, and the (average speed) runner will barely get beat out by the throw -- when really I should have had time to relax, set my feet, and toss the ball over instead of gunning it to first to barely beat him. it just ruins the immersion and believability that is so important when playing a sports game!

Can anyone confirm for me something I saw yesterday. Bring-in a relief pitcher. Allow the cut scene to play out. Once the stat overlay appears for that pitcher, look to see what position it has that pitcher as.

Yesterday I brought in 3 relief pitchers & each 1 stated they played a different position in the over lay
