Just played my first ranked match online. It's very smooth, but you do have to swing early. Other than that, it's a great multiplayer game. Didn't notice any glitches at all yet playing online.

I do think for online play that they should slow the pitch speed down a bit to compensate for having to swing early. Thankfully you can use custom difficulty in leagues and custom matches (such as when you invite a friend to a game). I'm not sure what the optimal pitch speed would be for online, but I'll do some testing with my friend.

I also played a couple offline exhibition games with good results. I turned the fielder speed all the way down and it is better. I was able to get a couples doubles and a triple in one game.

The pitching is still a bit too easy. Turning the pitch meter slider up helps a little, but it's still pretty easy to pinpoint. That's probably my biggest complaint right now.

Overall, I'm happy with this game. Very good effort from VC/2K

Liking the game so far, but man hitting is difficult for me. Going to take some time to get use to. I'm always ahead. I gotta stay back more.

LMAO my first hit ever on MLB 2k10: Gerald freakin' Laird. One of the worst hitters on the Tigers.

Alright, I'm sold. I was an "on the fence" guy, but the demo really surprised me and I've heard a lot of positive reviews on a very critical website. More importantly, I'm not hearing about a crushing glitch, though I sure hope I feel the same way in 2 weeks. I'll offer impressions later.

The camera options are fantastic. I like using the "Batter 3" preset with zoom set to 8. On my 46" sony, it puts the back of the batters box right at the bottom of the screen so I don't feel so far away. Seems easier to read pitches than the default view.

who needs check swings. the defensive swing is awesome. really really like the battle that goes on when hitting. you can really work the count. the cpu doesnt just throw strikes.

They nailed Ryan Dempster's signature style, from his wide straddle of the rubber, to his glove wiggle during his windup......it's spot on.

Wrigley Field is gorgeous as well.

Does the game have an option to play short seasons? Or only 162 games?
