i agree
for all this game does right with stats and presentation, its missing some pretty basic stuff.
this was a reboot of the franchise tho, so i guess i can cut em some slack.

Re: Official MLB 2K10 Impressions (360/PS3)

I've really only touched My Player mode so far and love it. My only issue is in the simming. I like how I can whip through a game in about 10 minutes, but it's a bit of a bummer when it comes to fielding. Since the game halts when you have a fielding opportunity, it makes that whole aspect anti-climactic. You know the ball is coming your way. I'd prefer to actually be in the field the entire time to bring a bit more of a realistic feel to things. It's a minor gripe though.

Re: Official MLB 2K10 Impressions (360/PS3)

some spring training impressions:

the CPU does not make changes to pitcher in ST games as they should
guys should not pitch more than 3 innings in the first game of the spring.

the CPU also let him bat.

the ST stadiums are nice, but are there only 2?
do they let u play in minor league stadiums in ST?

I like the Spring Traning inning end overlay.

Re: Official MLB 2K10 Impressions (360/PS3)

This game is such a great improvement from 2k9, but its kind of laughable some of the mistakes the art director made when designing the uniforms. Has anyone seen the Braves alternate uniform yet? Their uniforms aren't navy blue as they should be (a little too light) and the hat, haha, my gosh the hat.

It looks like they copied and pasted a braves logo on the hat, but you can still see the square outline around the logo that is a different color from the hat. Every year it is the same thing with these uniforms and I really don't understand it. I understand this is "beating a dead horse" so to speak, but my goodness every year we complain and every year the art director makes the most questionable errors with these uniforms.

And I don't understand the "budget and time" argument, because how hard is it to look at the mlb style guide and follow it correctly? You look at the braves alternate jersey, its navy blue, you simply make the jersey navy blue. You see that there is a weird, off-colored square around the braves logo on the hat that looks NOTHING like the real hat, you simply take the five to ten minutes to fix it, you move on. Why isn't it that simple? I mean no disrespect to the developers, but I just don't understand it.

Re: Official MLB 2K10 Impressions (360/PS3)

Impressions From Opening Day:

Love the Opening day Overlay
:0

Hate the fact that Daniel Bard came in to relieve Beckett in th 5th and stayed in the rest of the way

Loved the fact that I chased beckett after he walked the based loaded and then let up a Salami to a-rod.

He walkd 4 and struck out 10 in 4 2/3

Hated the fact that there were 2 doubles total.
Lowell and Jeter to lead off the game.

Loved the fact that stats rocked lol

Hated the fact that Cano threw a ball to tex which pulled him off th bag, which the runner was called safe. they ruled it a hit.
wtf
