I have a question about weather variation... Is it in the game? I could be wrong, but I thought I read in an insight that the weather is dynamic. I've yet to see a cloudy day or rain.

went back to 2k9 using these sliders. to see if there was a difference.

these opinions are based off of my play style and these slider sets.

last years camera angles were better
game speed and pacing was better.
the left hit stick 90% of the time felt better. it was more responsive.
the controls felt more weighted.

great to see trapped balls and bobbled balls on potential double plays.
fielding was better. felt more organic.
pitching also felt more organic.


2k10 is probably the more superior game. less wonky AI decisions. Ill have to wait for the patch to see the final outcome.

There are some threads about this. Stealing is generally considered very hard and timing is crucial. Most agree that the cpu can steal too easy but I've lowered the cpu steal success slider to 40 and I just threw someone out this morning with Laird. I'd play with that slider to fix the cpu steal success.

On close plays at the plate does the catcher try to tag the runner? I've seen a few times where the catcher just stands there and the runner slides under the tag safely when he should have been out imo.

How long does the average game take? I read something about a "hurry up" mode? My main concern with baseball video games is that they take too long and it takes me almost a year to finish 1 season.

It takes me a long time - a little over an hour for each game. You can cut down on the presentation if you want but I like that stuff.

If you enable the hurry up mode, about 40 minutes.
