I guess the entire game is "My Player" mode. The game is much better than last year, but with all the flaws in that ONE mode, it brings down the entire game, somehow. The reason why I never believe in reviews.

Nate lost credibility with me right off the bat (no pun intended) by saying that 2k9 looked better than 2k10 ... 2k10's demo looks better than 2k9 (not digging the huge numbers and names however).

I'll wait for the OS review and Pasta Padre's review, thank you very much.

Seemed to me he was referring to some of the things they cut back to get the 60 fps... ie the shot they showed of the cardboard cutout fans.

I do agree that the game looks better overall this year though.

I thought it was a fair review... the game is better than 2K9, but still falling short in a few areas. And, a 7/10 is not a BAD score by any means.

What scares me is the bugs he is talking about. It has always been a problem and we won't really know about them for another week or so.

yeah I dont really care for his review. Chances are I won't even play My Player, because I tend to spend my time in franchise and all indications point to that being amazing. So I'm not worried and I will be purchasing it on release day. I don't really trust IGN's ratings anymore after they gave Battlefield Bad Company 2 a rating below 9... that game deserved better.

They gave 2K9 a 6.8 last year, and now 2K10 gets 7.0.... I find it hard to believe that this game is only .2 points better than 2K9.

The overall impressions have been quite positive.

Reading through the article, they didn't even mention MLB Today ONE TIME. They gave it a 7.5 for Presentation. I'll wait for a better review.

Edit: They also gave presentation a 7.5 last year... They gave Graphics a 7.5 last year and a 6.0 this year.... It looks like they just threw numbers out there.

He did mention MLB today. If you read the review it seems like it is improved but still has problems with bugs.

...which is why I won't be buying this game for another week or so, if at all.

Fair review, if a bit too focused on the create-a-player mode. It's inexcusable for any developer to forget to include a CHECK SWING in the shipped game, irregardless of a patch! And the trade bug that Nate mentioned? Yeah, no thanks. I dread to hear what other ridiculous bugs surface in the next 10 days.

I have to question this review. He thought graphics were better last year and doesn't think the presentation is any better this year? Wow....

Yeah, in one sentence. Even if there were bugs with it, anyone who played 2k9 for more than an hour could tell you that presentation is better in 2k10 just watching videos.

I'm personally not even that excited about this game, but I'm one of the very few who actually enjoyed 2k9 and I can tell you that from what I've seen this one is MUCH better.
