    My Player- More I'm on base worst my team performs.

    I'm playing a catcher and I'm on my second season. I have 130 games played. When, I'm on base my team mates strike out 99% of the time. In 130 games I've been batted in 5 times and only one of those was a homer. I've actually stole home more times than I've been hit in.

    Now, If I purposely get my self picked off after I've gotten on base and advanced the runners before the next batter has time to strike out, My team will most likely win the game or will be competitive. I'm currently doing this just to get my team into the Post season. Its killing my immersion though and I don't even feel like playing.

    Other playing as a pitcher does anyone know any way to fix this without killing my immersion? Any slider changes I can make.

      I wish I had better news for you, but this is the exact same situation I've run into. I tried to fashion myself into a Youkilis type first baseman when I first started My Player. Did pretty well too, and got on base either walking or getting solid hits at a ~.450 OBP clip. I even went on a tear where I got on base safely in 22 straight games.

      But I almost NEVER got around to score. If a player after me managed to get a hit (and that is extremely rare), it was ALWAYS a single. I played through an entire 162 game season, and only TWICE did the player after me get a double, and not a single player homered. Absolutely unacceptable.

      So I went back, retooled my guy, and he's now a slugger. In my second season, I hit for a .398 avg, had 52 HR's, 96 RBI's, and... get this... 56 runs. Yes... that means that outside of my own HR's, only 4 frickin' times did my team get me around.

      I know the A's are far from a powerhouse and my guy is not the fastest on the block, but this is absurd. In my opinion, it breaks My Player for any position outside of a pitcher.

          Yeah, It killed my Immersion and I just don't enjoy playing a pitcher. I don't see any fixes for this in the patch notes. So 2K might not know. If your able to post there about it please do. I registered 2 weeks ago and they still won't let me start a thread.
