There is a poster on the impressions thread that stated it happened to him last night after he got the game. But he did not say he if he downloaded the patch

I heard the patch was out early yesterday so unless he has no internet, I would think he did and that is bad bad news

Yeah this scares me too. I am seeing several people mention things that make me nervous;

-Vacuum gloves. (I have seen this too in the demo.)
-Caught HR's counting as both and out and HR bug. I thought day1 patch fixed this??
-Jaggies still there.
-A guy in the impressions thread said he played a full game in his franchise, and his guys still had 100% fatigue afterwards in spite of them having played a full game. There was a similar bug last year.

I have a feeling I should avoid this game for now... If a few bugs have already been noticed in the first 8 hours... who knows how many more bugs havent been discovered yet. Lord knows I have no faith in 2K to find/fix bugs. As a rule I assume every 2K baseball game will have bugs that wont be fixed.

Out of all the little oddities and whatnot that I'm reading about in the Impressions and Demo threads, THIS is the only glitch that upsets me. Still not a dealbreaker for me, as I was going to play exhibition games until Opening Day rosters were out, so I'm hoping that's enough time to whip together another patch to fix this (along with other things like names on the back of jerseys that shouldn't have them etc).

I never experienced the glitch in the demo myself but I'm not doubting it's existence as so many of you have seen it. My fingers are crossed that a) the poster who mentioned it happened to him with the retail copy DIDN'T download the day one patch or b) more likely, they release a patch soon to rectify the problem. I'm sure this will get patched at some point, it's just that 2K doesn't always do these things in a timely manner.

Saw this after my post above. I'm wondering if the fatigue went back to 100% because some teams' first series of the season will have a game followed by a day off followed by the rest of the series.

I have 2K 11 for the PS3. I'm playing as the Indians and Choo is up to bat with the bases loaded. I end up hitting one to deep right field and score two runs. When my next batter comes to the plate the bases were still loaded, lol.

I had to do a double take and make sure what I saw was correct and it was. I haven't seen the HR thing yet.

Obviously these are mistakes in the game. It is unable to play a proper game of baseball with these problems, which is what you guys thought you were buying. Just out of curiosity, do you guys think you could return the game where you bought it saying it is broken for a return? Or do you think the store would say they can't accept games that have been played?

Picked the game up at midnight when I bought the other game. Played a game of 2K first and for the most part really liked what I saw. Didn't experience any framerate issues and the animations were good. Noticed in the settings that when you change a difficulty slider the main setting you are on changes to "custom" which is like it has been in the past

Cardinals at Padres.....I quit the game tied at 4 after 9 innings. I am not much of a late night person anymore.

One thing I saw, maybe this belongs in a "bugs" thread but didn't see one up yet, Pujols (me) hits a shot to center with a man on first with one out. The center fielder goes back and made a leap at the wall, he jumps and his glove extends above the wall and he catches the ball. It counts as both an out and a two run homer. The animation of the center fielder jumping and making the catch was awesome, just bummed that this is in the retail version of the game.

I experienced this once in the demo but that was different where I actually ran through the wall and made the catch. In the retail one the center fielder reacted properly, stopped and jumped at the wall and made the catch.

Other than this one glitch I was very happy with how the game played. Maybe too many hard infielder lineouts but I was kind of expecting that. Just one game though and haven't dove into the sliders just yet.

Edit: I moved this over from the immpressions thread. To those of you wondering, yes I did download the patch, 2 mb upon starting the game.

Played a second game this morning and hit a similar fly ball to the center field wall where the center fielder jumped, extended his glove above the top of the wall and caught the ball. This play was counted as an out correctly and no home run. Hopefully the first one was just a fluke. I have not witnessed any vacuum gloves. So far this game is head and shoulders above last year.

Just to clarify this bug...

It seems when you PLAY a game, players fatigue does not go down as it should. (the poster said when he SIMMED games his guys seemed to properly fatigue.)

So if some peeps could play a game in franchise mode, then check after the game to see if guys are fatigued at all...

Last year player fatigue was seriously bugged (especially in super-sim) so this would not surprise me if fatigue is bugged again this year.

To clarify, I do not sim franchise games, I play them. I've played through 3 games as the Tigers and have started a series against Baltimore. There was no off day before the Baltimore game. Every player of mine is at 100% including Scherzer (yesterday's starting pitcher).

I did check and have noticed that CPU players are not all at 100% energy, so they seem to be simming properly.

I hope there's an alternate explanation to the energy problem when playing franchise games, but I'm gonna hold off on my next game and read more about it to see what's happening with others on the forum.
