Foul Balls??

I thought I read a few early impressions stating that there were fould balls in the game, both by user and cpu..... Played a few half games tonight and I could count on one hand how many times someone fouled.... that is extremely unrealistic...no slider for foul ball frequency, will a patch make this better?
2k11 nice improvement but still I sometimes wonder how much the developers and testers watch baseball games to implement proper gameplay items in a simulation game...

Does anyone else notice the low (nealy non-existent) frequency of foul balls, and/or know if i can tweek a slider to make more foul balls occur?

I see plenty of fouls. A foul ball slider isn't a very good idea because then they just become random as they were in older 2K games (pre 2K9). As it is now, fouls are determined by the timing of the swing, pitch location, etc......so the slider adjustment that would probably increase them is lowering the hitting contact slider, and possibly increasing the pitch speed to cut down on solid hits. You could try that and see what happens.

I foul the ball off a lot. And I see the cpu foul it off a decent amount of times too

Most the outs I produce offensively are from foul balls. Too many infact. Pop ups behind home plate. Not a big fan of the "power" swing. Not good at it either.

I am seeing a lot of foul balls.


I am hitting them when I am behind in the count and I am trying to fight off pitches witht he defensive swing. I also see them quite a bit with the power swing


I see them from the cpu when they are behind in the count and are fighting to stay alive

I am seeing about the same amount I had in 2K10, I had some behind homeplate that my catcher caught which was very cool, seems no more than usual to me.
