Franchise Stats/Progression ?
I am hoping one of you who already have the game would be willing to post some stats for a few simmed seasons. I'm anxious to see if there are any surprises and to see how player progress and decline. Last year the pitching stats were way off due to the Walk rating for pitchers being messed up and progressing incorrectly. I'm hoping that has been resolved. I enjoy playing franchise mode and going through multiple seasons. I'm a stat-head and stickler for that kind of stuff. I've been bit by 2K too many times that I am no longer a 1st day buy. I have made myself wait until I start seeing reports of franchise stats over multiple seasons. I haven't noticed any posted, so I'm hoping the community that already has the game would throw a little help this way. Thanks so much, guys. I hope you are all enjoying the game.Tags: None -

Re: Franchise Stats/Progression ?
Actually, I had already done that but found nothing that answered my question. However, maybe you could point me to a specific post on those pages, ericdrum, that I may have missed.
liftheavy, thanks for the pastapadre suggestion. I found information on the stats for a single simmed season. So that answers half of my question. Do you happen to know anyone who has tested the progression and made a post or comment on another site.
Thanks for your help guys. Like I said, I really want to get this game, but I'm going to be cautious this year.Comment

Re: Franchise Stats/Progression ?
I've simmed 3 seasons so far and the stats look realistic.
The only weird things I've seen were...
Rookies from the previous season winning the Comeback Player of the year award. Buster Posey won it in 2011.
Torii Hunter had a horrible 2012 season, bounces back with 30 HR in 2013, then he retires(37yrs old). I don't know how he hit 30HR that last season. He was so bad in 2012. He only hit like 12 HR in 600 Ab's, and had a horrible AVG, OBP, etc... lol, I actually re-signed him for 1 yr after that 2012 season. I thought he'd continue regressing, but re-signed him anyways. I guess he wanted to go out with a bang.
Player salary demands are still low like they were in 2k10.Last edited by HK-47; 03-10-2011, 08:24 PM.Comment

That's good to hear HK-47. You haven't noticed good pitchers all of the sudden becoming bad because their walk stats are screwy have you?I've simmed 3 seasons so far and the stats look realistic.

The stats don't look bad, though the game sims a little too low scoring in comparison to real life.
There weren't any teams with real high ERA's, its not too bad, but its just a little off.FJFComment

Thanks for the input. It looks like I may have to give 2K another shot. I don't mind the overall scoring depression. I can just think we are in a modern dead-ball era. It's good to hear progression is doing better this year too.Comment

I'm not an expert on this area, so I'll just post what it says my Organization Break Down is... Not sure if it's whacked out or not, but do know that player salary demands are way too low.
2014 Angels
Organization Budget 153.61 million
MLB Payroll 85.86
Minor League Payroll 32.22M
Inside Edge Expenses 0
Salary Buyouts 65K
Total Expenses 122.17M
Profit Loss 31.44M
Available Funds
Budget 31.44M
Expenses 122.17M
Top 10 Salaries
Vernon Wells 16.80M
Josh Johnson 15.51M(demanded a way lower annual salary, I just gave him as much as I could)
Kendry Morales 15.50M( gave him as much as I could)
Dan Haren 11.76M
Jered Weaver 10.86M(Won Cy Young Award in 2012, was a FA along with Haren after the 2012 season, he demanded less annual salary than Haren, but more years)
Ervin Santana 3.97M
Howie Kendrick 3.32M
Joel Pineiro 3.10M
Scott Kazmir 3.02M
