Fielding Controller Question

I know there is not an auto-fielding option but I swear sometimes it looks like they start to go after the ball on their own.

So I am asking, is it true that if you do not touch the controller when the ball is hit they will run towards the ball on their own?

Fielders start out in the direction, but you have to take control to continue. Causes an awful lot of instant-outs in the infield though. I have many innings where I literally don't make an out: the auto-fielding programming does it all for me, catching linedrives, etc.

ok thanks, yeah i have alot of line drive fly outs happen in the infield.
