with the very limited amounts of opportunities you get, and never getting saves or wins, it would take like 10 years to get to a 75 ovr, and to become the teams closer you gotta be like an 80. How in the hell do you do this?

In all seriousness... Learning how to pitch. I don't mean that in the cocky-*** way that some punk kid says it as a diss on the internet, I mean it as it's meant to be. You need to learn how to pitch in order to utilize your pitches effectively, and how to manipulate batters into either popping up or getting ground balls.
I started a closer, and ended up with 14 saves and only 1 blown attempt, resulting in a loss. Really, it's not that hard if you know what you're doing, and if you pick the proper pitches to use and understand what batter you're facing. -

I changed the sliders to 0 and 100 in my favor and im striking 23 batters per 9 inn. I did this when I first started my RP so I could get called up fast. I kept these sliders even in the majors so I could quickly rank up and become closer. This is now my guys 5th year (25) and it's about to end and im only a 75. Our team's closer is a 24 year old, 82 overall, 5 star potential RP.Comment
