    Most underrated players

Post a player, pitcher or hitter, that you have great success with. He can't be a superstar player, he has to be a relatively unknown player. This should also help people find lower rated guys that help them.

For my player I am choosing Ryan Sweeney RF OAK. Dude is a monster for me. He doesn't have a lot of power but he can flat out rake.

I don't know if he's rated low enough but RP Bobby Parnell on the Mets. I pitched like 20 innings with him and gave up only 1 ER.

In my Nationals franchise about 10 games in Laynce Nix has been great. He was a triple shy of the cycle in one game, and a HR shy of the cycle in another. He is also tied for the league lead in walks but it's not even 2 weeks in.

As far as free agents you can pick up in franchise, Willy Aybar is solid. I traded Ian Desmond but the very next game Espinosa gets injured. And my backup 2B was starting at SS (in place of Desmond) so I signed Aybar. In 2 series so far he is batting .520 with 9 RBIs I believe.

James Macdonald for me, he only has 3 pitches but his curveball is filthy and when you mix in a 90-93 mph heater and a decent change up he can be a problem.

Nix has been great for me as well in my online league.

And, I always pop balls up with Zimmerman.

Freddie Freeman. Sure, he may have hype and you may know his name if you follow baseball, but this guy always plays above his ratings for me. He is one of the weakest hitters on my team with like 68 power, but hits HR's at a similar pace to his real life self which is nice to have from such young talent.

Defensively, if the ball is near him he's going to get it for me.

Daric Barton, and Ian Stewart always do the job for me in the field and with the bat. As far as pitchers go Chris Volstad and Johnny Cueto seem to always get the job done for me.

Lucas Duda can be an absolute monster. After going through a franchise mode and three seasons in two different My Player modes, he consistently hits 25-30 bombs. Unfortunately, when I'm not in control of the Mets, the CPU ALWAYS starts him over Bay.

Mike Napoli. If you want an offensive catcher he's your guy. He hit 9 home runs in my first 14 games before getting hurt sliding into 2nd. Dude is a monster.

Another one is Dave Bush. Using his 2-seam fastball and NASTY curveball I have yet to give up a run with him. Definitely underrated and could be had for cheap since he's only like a 72 overall.

Chris Davis (1B) of the rangers. I don't know what it is but nearly 100 games in (I play 90% of the games) he's third in the league with a .347 BA, 21 HR, and 77 RBI's. He's arguably my best hitter on a team loaded with big bats.

Don't think he's rated low enough, but I put up 40 HRs with Nick Swisher. He's got around 80 power but I hit bombs with him all the time.

I also was able to hit very well with Ramiro Pena on the Yankees, he was filling in absence of Jeter (I chose him over Nunez) and then next season Cano got injured and I had Jeter at 2B and Pena at shortstop and he did work, hitting over .300

I think Jon Lester is underrated. Hes only around 90
In real game, hes has dominating stuff, good comment of his pitches, has the ability to get out of any jam. I just think overall 90 is a bit low for his performance out there.
I struggle with him in my franchise but getting better with ERA getting lower each game but strike out rate drop a lot n still don kno the reason

Justin Verlander- Overall 92 Stats on the year: 0.90 whip 2.29 ERA
                              Lester: 1.21 whip 3.31 ERA
While I agree Lester is a good pitcher I think 90 is a bit high. That or Veralnder also needs to have his overall bumped up.
And on the original topic, I always seem to put up good numbers with Casper Wells.
