    MLB 2K12 Hands-On Preview (Destructoid)

Destructiod's Samit Sarkar, has posted his MLB 2K12 hands-on preview.

MLB 2K12 gives you a good deal of feedback to tip you off to your tendencies. Analyst Steve Phillips might point one out with a comment. The visual feedback is more immediate and noticeable. All of your pitches are lined up on the left side of the screen as circular icons with numerical effectiveness ratings. If you're beginning to overuse a pitch (that is, throwing it too often compared to the Inside Edge data), the icon's background will turn from a neutral teal to yellow. That's a warning that you're becoming too predictable. If you continue to throw that pitch, the background will eventually become red, which lets you know that hitters are starting to look for it above your other options.

Nice to keep reading about the game, but it's mostly the same recycled information.

LOL, yeah I was almost inclined to put a "rinse & repeat" disclaimer on my post.

yea, the recycled information is getting old. How about some info on franchise maintenance such as a better sim engine, trade ai, free agent ai, etc...

I don't know about you guys but Ive got every 2k baseball game since 2004 I was a fool for buying some of them but did because all I had was an xbox but I'm starting to think the reason there isn't any new info about the game is because there are none...I can sit here all day and think (They are saving the best for last) but really I think they have already gave us all the info about it and now it's up to us to see if a soundtrack put together by SPIN is worth $60 hard earn dollars

It is a shame, as it appears everyone seems to only get to spend an hour with the game. Hard to dig deep in that time period. After the third and fourth one of these it seems like the previewers are getting a script to go off of.

I agree. Jon Robinson (ESPN Gamer) wrote he only got 3 or 4 innings when he had a chance to preview 2K12 vs. many games with the Show. I don't know if that restricted access is part of marketing or trying to hide something. Either way it would be nice to read a preview where someone got a chance to play the game a lot. There is no way of studying issues in a baseball game in 30-60 minutes.

Maybe an hour is all any of them can stand to play the game.
