I didn't even find the demo version on the xbox yet

2K Sports only released MLB 2K12 for North American and Japanese consoles / region codes.
The only chance to play it in Europe is either you buy one of these consoles or if 2K Sports decides to put MLB 2K12 on XBox Live Marketplace Games on Demand like MLB 2K11.
And even then it's questionable if they'll add it to the European marklet or just to the NA / Japanese market.


To get the demo you either need to download them via an external source and manually add it to your hard disk (or USB-stick drive).
Or you just create a second account on your European XBox360 but instead of your normal home you select it to be an US account. Therefore you have access to the US marketplace and can download the demo. You then can even play it with your normal account.

Not sure if any of these 2 options is completely legal but that's the only you can get the demo. I got it via option 2. But I've done option 1 with other demos as well.

I just got a reply back from 2k games regarding a UK/Europe release and this was their response:
Hi,
Thank you for your e-mail regarding MLB2k12. I can advise that this game is currently on sale in the UK and you should be able to purchase this at all good video game stores.

...lol a very odd response considering I can't find it anywhere in the UK in shops and online.

Also i preordered with the australian supplier but got an email saying that when they received the stock they tested the game and it did not work and it was region locked.

it's definitely region locked as VG+ confirmed this on Twitter.
