Based on the fact that I like 2k11, I'm picking up the new game on day one. I'm really interested in the new play along with the season mode or whatever it's called LOL

I'm going to wait to hear reviews and see gameplay footage. The other game will be my day 1 purchase. I may get the combo pack (MLB and nba 2k12) if I do decide to get this game

Renting it first from either gamefly or redbox. Then I'll decide if it's worth a purchase.

I think I pre ordered it I'm not sure, but if I didn't I'll wait till I see at least 2 reviews from my favorite sites

i used some poweruprewards credit i had and preordered it.
i was holding out waiting to see which game i'd go with this year.
but i went with this again based on franchise/presentation.
its too darn immersive!
oh and that batter/pitcher dynamic.

Based on how my gameplay has gone for the past few years, I will probably end up buying MLB 12 The Show, get annoyed with it within a few weeks, and end up buying MLB 2K12.

To save all that headache, I might actually just be smart with my purchase for once, and just go with MLB 2K12.

Also, seeing as its possible that it might be the last year for the MLB 2K series, it might be worth the purchase, so that I don't have to worry about buying another game for a while.

I did the same with All-Pro Football 2K8, and NHL 2K10, and they haven't steered me wrong. Graphically they might not be perfect, but the gameplay is second to none.

I pre-ordered the combo pack. Seems like the best of both worlds. I will be playing NBA 2K12 (which I skipped this year) while waiting for MLB 2K12's updated rosters and patch. I don't usually pre-order games since it seems pointless (at least in my area), but questions about the availability of the combo pack led me to make sure I reserved my copy.

Yeah so far the only reason i would even bother getting mlb 2k12 is for the updated commentary & rosters

Since there's never been two consecutive 'acceptable' games from MLB 2K, (2K3, 2K7, 2K11) I'm just going to rent it, since history points to a down year. If it's good, I'll get it for PC.

I made the decision to pre-order it yesterday.

EB Games (or Gamestop, depending on where you live) had a deal where if you trade in 2 games with a trade-in value of $8 or more, they would be increased in value to give you $50 towards selected titles.

I can't wait for it to arrive. Sucks that its still 13 days away. I am excited for the new pitching features. It will be interesting to see how all that will play out.
