Online Franchise ?

Does anyone know if you will be able to have an online franchise with only a few people or do you need to fill up all of the teams in order to play a franchise?

If it's like NBA's Online mode, you can fill it with one or two people and the rest are CPU teams.

Lets hope to god that they don't put online franchises in MLB like they did in NBA. I'd rather have the old league than what NBA2K12 got...

I have a bad feeling they might have just removed leagues altogether from MLB 2K12...

I have never played the NBA series so I would not know how that is set up but im pretty sure last year you had to have every team filled in order to play a franchise. I just want to play a franchise with a few friends who I know will keep the season going. Thanks for the response

no word and this is probably one of the most important features i want to know about.

my online buddies and I are big into online "dynasties", we are in season 4 of our NCAA league we suffered through Maddens online franchise last year and we are waiting on a few of us(me included this year) to pick up NBA2k12 since I am buying the bundle NBA/MLB2k12 for our NBA online franchise.

everyone had complained about the NBA12 online problems so we decided to wait until we started running out of steam with NCAA12, which actually hasn't happened but a lot of us are itching for a "new" competition for our group.

I hope that MLB realized that an online franchise can be popular and more fun than a solo offline franchise.

I really hope it's like NBA 2k12's online franchise if it was even touched. If it it, I'll play this game all of the time. If nothing has changed and the Online Leagues are just like last years, no thank you.

You will most likely be able to have as many user teams as you choose, I have never seen an online franchise for any sports game in which every team had to be user controlled.

Playing the CPU with no sliders is a nightmare in MLB. NBA's Online Association mode would be awful in MLB.

If there are no slider customization options, this game will be a major fail. Unlike NBA, MLB cannot stand on default sliders.

the problem with this is that NBA has always only had "online leagues"(until nba2k12) which did not allow for CPU controlled teams, you had to have even #s of Users because the leagues were in 4-8-10-12-14etc formats and were round robin.

I'm hoping that 2k put in the online franchise feature much like NCAA12, Madden12 and even NBA2k12's meager effort but at least it was included.

It isn't even fun playing this game vs the computer on default. You have to pick a super low difficulty level so you don't get killed and then when you play a user game it is a home run derby with softball pitching speeds.

Exactly, NBA is at least playable because their default sliders aren't awful. MLB's default sliders are so far off of correct every year that it takes a well-honed formula to make them playable online in leagues.

That is just your opinion though. I'm pretty sure me and my other friend would easily prefer the online franchise from NBA to make its way over than have it stay the same.

If NBA's comes over, we'll get to play a franchise online together. If it stays the same as this year, then it's offline franchise another year.

hopefully someonewill get the game early and let us know. this is what will be a buy or not for me since all my friends and I only play online franchises in all our games, we dont play offline. So if someone gets the game early please confirm!!

Finally, people talking about features that matter. Yes, the inclusion of this feature would keep me with 2K. Otherwise I will be shelling out $$$ for a PS3 and the "other game." Improve gameplay, graphics and franchise (off and online), and stop fiddling around with flash-in-the-pan game modes.
