I haven't seen any pending franchise discussion....so, who you gonna be?

The show forum is littered with this discussion, but there's nothing here. So, who you gonna be this year? The one thing I don't like about 2k11 is the inability to switch teams in mid franchise, so you better be happy with you pick.

Are you going to be your favorite team? Are you going to bring a team back to power?

I'm going with my favorite (non-loaded) team the Blue Jays. Even though they are a good team, it's still a nightmare playing in the best division in sports.

I always toy with the idea of rebuilding a slug, but in baseball it's just too hard. I may do a concurrent one and see if it sticks, but I highly doubt it. Imagine being the Astros and playing even 30-50 games of the season, you're still looking at 150-200 games before a draftee or a minor leaguer gets good and you can compete. That's brutal.

I'll usually play as The Reds, but sometimes will play trying to rebuild a weaker team (by far my favorite was when I rebuilt The Royals..my goal was to cut payroll even more than it already was, but keep some solid talent. That year, in simulation, we won like 95 games, and had an insanely low Cost per Win.

I am a Philadelphia fan so I enjoy playing with the Phillies. It's also fun trying to build the small market teams into World Series material.

Yes; It is even possible to control all 30 teams.

Well, I've been a Tigers fan ever since I was a little kid. So to answer the question, Tigers baby...hopefully Miggy can do some work at 3rd and hopefully my pitching staff (mainly the #5 guy honestly) can be solid behind Mr. Cy Young and MVP.

OT. i wont play franchise with my favorite team cuz of mlb today season, so i'll probably play with my second favorite team the braves or rebuild a bad team like the A's, Houston or padres.

While I don't think he'll be a gold glover, I think he can be adequate...now range wise, he'll be god awful. But I can deal with that considering his bat lol

Yeah I can't see him being able to cover that much ground.
