How do I stop the computer from switching my lineup around.

I traded Victorino, Mayberry, and a AAA SP for Hanley Ramirez and Emilio Bonifacio.

Here is how I viewed my lineup.

    SS - Jimmy Rollins
    CF - Chase Utley
    3B - Hanley Ramirez
    1B - Ryan Howard
    RF - Hunter Pence
    LF - Domonic Brown
    CF - Emilio Bonifacio
    C - Carlos Ruiz

When I simulate it always comes out with some ridiculous lineup. Something like this:

SS Jimmy Rollins is on the bench with Polanco starting and Hanley at SS. Brown also ends up on the bench in place of Juan Pierre.

Sim games one at a time and make all the necessary injury fixes to the lineup yourself. Solves the issue completely.

There are options that are in the Franchise settings or Franchise Automation whatever it's called. Scroll down to see the CPU set to ON for Lineups and other things. Turn them off.

I don't know if i missed these settings during the initial setup of my franchise (didn't scroll down?) or if these settings are just in the 'chise after you start it.
      say what?

I believe that doesn't work when simming multi-games, the CPU will still switch your lineup. It's an issue that's been discussed here each year the game comes out. The only way to guarantee your lineup stays as is, is to sim each game individually.

your lineup gets messed up when an injury happens in the minor leagues. when an injury happens down there, you probably have the minor league automation on, the cpu fixes up the minor league lineup/rotation and in turn still edits your mlb one. there is no real fix however, the only way to change this is turn the minor automation off but with all the time you'll save by not fixing your lineups you will use fixing the minor leagues

So essentially every time there is an injury just adjust call ups ect. myself?

well the only fix i can think of is to turn off automation for minor league teams.. but that seems like it would take more time then what i do. ive made it a habit to hit Y or w/e and check my lineup every single game i play just to double check and if it is then i can just fix it for the time being and make a mental note to change it when i get finished. its a lose/lose really but i find that alot easier than fixing the minors every time.

Try editing your players to only one main position because when injuries occur the cpu looks for replacements within the 25 man roster and chooses by secondary positions therefore leaving your lineup all screwed up

Both of your posts are exactly correct.

When the CPU adjusts lineups for A, AA, or AAA by swaping players to cover injuries it for some reason can affect your MLB lineup. I've noticed times where it does'nt change the MLB lineup if there is no player swapping. I think that is why sometimes people notice it and others don't. This bug will occur even when you set MLB auto-management off.

However it is pretty rare. Maybe a few times over a season. Sure you could avoid this bug by managing ALL major and minor league injuries and lineups... but as Randy said this would take more time than just fixing your lineup once and a while.

I just write down my LHP and RHP lineups on a pad of paper, and so far have had fix it like twice. Took 10 seconds.

i think i saw someone mention it but ill explain it better. you can go and edit your players fielder ratings if you really want them to play a certain position and lower the ones you dont want them to play, that way the cpu wont think it has a better fit than you.

also if your gonna play utley in the OF switch him and put dom brown in CF hes faster and a better arm
