Running a franchise mode being able to set ticket prices just like MLB 2K7, why not?? Agree?

Plus the crowds in the game barely react to any homerun balls in recent games any way, so why not just take them out of the stands?

MLB 2k crowd reminds me of the Major league film series when the Indians are terrible and you don't hear a peep from the them
I wish the graphics were updated so everybody doesn't look like a generic player

Me too. I really hope they've made an upgrade in this department. I'm a big surround-sound snob, so I like my games to really exploit the audio, haha.

MLB 2K7 is the best in the series ... it looks the best, had one of the best soundtracks, and I liked being able to do the prices and all of that. It had a good number of bugs and could use 2K12's pitching, but other than that, I loved that game.

It was all downhill from there.

I think the things you mention about 2K7 that makes it a great game for you mean absolutely nothing to me. My problem is that is played like doo-doo. It doesn't matter how good it looked, how good the music I always turn off is, and the time I can waste with ticket prices.

It's all been uphill since.

Five ****ing years of downhill, and yet you still post in this forum. Give me a break.

2K8 was a great game that was plagued with terrible frame rate issues. 2K9 had some issues. But 2K10, 2K11, and 2K12 all were progressively better.

But they were all better than 2K7, which was a terrible game. Yes, it had nice graphics. But it's gameplay was a horrible. @K8, once they had a patch that alleviated most of the frame rate issues (as well as MS introducing the ability to install the game to the hard drive) it was actually a great game. But it was too late, and is still judged by the state it was released in.

Trying to call 2K7 the peak is just confirming how shallow some people are when it comes to sports games. Baseball games had such terrible gameplay until 2K introduced a lot of great mechanics, not just for pitching and hitting, but the best baserunning, too.

I know there are games that lean on graphics and dumb ticket price gimmicks, but that's not 2K, and it will never be 2K now. Anyone that views those as essential ought to move on.

I have to admit that one of the problems with 2K9, which persisted un til 2K12, was that VC eliminated the third step in the gesture pitching mechanic. Once 2K8 was released in such a poor state, the free for all of complaining about the game was in full effect. So every dumb kid that couldn't figure pitching out cried until VC made pitching way too easy in 2K9. But 2K8's pitching really was the best until 2k12 came out.

2K12 was the first game that really got pitching down to the point that you can't just throw strikes at will. 2K10 and 2K11 each got better, but it still was too easy.
