    Anticipation attribute in 2k13

    Hey all,

    I know I've read some posts saying that the anticipation attribute fix really makes the game a lot better, has anyone tried this out on 2k13?

    I have a ps3, and am from the dark side, and wonder if anyone can post some gameplay too with these anticipation sliders included so I can see it in action before I make my decision!

    I just want a fresh new experience for baseball this year, and want to try 2k out, I had 2k10 though!

      Re: Anticipation attribute in 2k13

      Ive been playing around with this and cant really see a huge difference yet. I played 6 games right out of the box no tweaks and saw a dive prolly 20 times at least. The ss dives way before the ball is close and snags it everytime(funky looking). Then I played 3 games so fAr with cle and miami all at 25 anticipation and still saw that dive, however some balls snuck through the gaps a few more times than regular. Sorry i dont have any video. I'm just not convinced yet if 25 anticipation is as game changing on 13 as it was 12, idk could just be me. I guess ill keep switching back and forth and try to get some video. If anyone else gets some evidence itd be great to know though. Meanwhile im just trying to enjoy the game and get used to the controls(played the show for the last four years, giving 2k a go before i pick it up).

        Thanks for posting rip gutt.

        I wish I could figure out really how much they help what the game looks like with it! I don't know, maybe I'm thinking too highly of the game but I want to give it a chance because it still looks like a solid game.

          Playing 2k13 with infielder/outfielder speed at zero, many, many more balls get through/fall in than in 2k12 and I haven't changed anything. (in 13')

          I saw a difference with anticipation at 25 in 2k12 on PS3 (I'm also on the dark side) but I think it's been toned way down already in 13', so I'm going to play a lot more before I do anything in the way of incredibly time-consuming edits.

            Right now this is exactly what I'm seeing also & I'm using IF/OF Speed @ 5. The ball is coming off the bat much harder & faster when solid contact is made. The other thing is the grass is not slowing the ball down.

            Right now the only thing I'm looking @ is bumping OF Speed up a little as I'm seeing some players getting triples who shouldn't due to the OF taking poor angles on balls

              Infield speed 0, outfield speed 5. Problem solved.

                Sliders and Cameras. Adjust and Adjust.

                Cams:
                Pitching = Pitcher 7,5,2,Normal
                Batting = Batter 8,6,ON (this view is CRUCIAL!)
                Fielding. = Dynamic 10,1
                Baserunning = Home plate 10,3

                  Now can somebody make a gameplay video with these sliders and camera views?!
                  This would really help me decide!!
                  Thanks

                    Really? You can't pop a few numbers in your sliders and just try it out for yourself? Someone has to go through all the gyrations to make a video for you?

                      I think he may be thinking of buying the game and would like to see some gameplay...

                      Maybe not but either way, it doesn't cost anything to be nice.:wink:

                      I'd post a video if I knew how.

                        Yeah I don't have 2k, and to me it's a big deal to research before I spend 60 bucks as it's a big deal at least for me (college kid).

                        I apreciate the help you guys.

                          It's not 2k13 but these video's are of 2k12 with the attribute rating adjustment and I find 13' to be pretty close to that out of the box. (The animations in these video's are a little better than 13', I think but the spacing/rate is about right.

                          Thanks to "shonuff326" on the 2k forums for posting these video's.

                            So are you saying that these animations, with 2K12 and AA at 25 are slightly better than 2K13's animations with unedited AA?
                            If that's the case, then 2K13 must have had some upgrades under the hood for this kind of thing, eh?

                              Yes, Money. 2k12 animations with the anticipation edit are still a little better looking than 2k13's. However, 2k13's "out of the box" fielding is much improved. With infield and outfield speeds lowered to zero, I haven't seen much, if any, warping to the ball/crazy dives.
