2K12 PC questions

So I redownloaded 2k12 on Steam earlier and I got a bunch of questions.

1. Are there any must have rosters/mods?

2. Assuming the answer to 1 is yes AND I got those, is there a generally recommended slider set for offline play? (Mainly MP and franchise)

3. Is there a 100% fix for the loading screen freeze that doesn't involve messing with the system time/date?

I really enjoy the 25 anticipation that was spoken about in the threads.

With that said, I use the Roster file from KMWEST22 (I think it called Astros west on 2k share...not sure though) that was an updated roster (from mkharsh and others) with everyone changed to 25 anticipation. With that roster set, I use Shoguns sliders that is set for the 25 anticipation.

Really good combination IMO.

Sorry no fix besides setting the clock back....

Must-have mods include updated stadiums, equipment/assessories pack, and field markers, all available at mvpmods.

The stadiums are a must. They are so gorgeous that when you play almost any other game it is difficult to look at.

I like the hurricane-a-coming default skies that come w/ 2k12. If you want blue skies there are mods for that too.

I also like the mod which removes that giant white circle when fielding fly balls.

I've gone through mvpmods and got most of the stadiums, now for more of an AI Q, in My Player it seems like I'm the only one ever actually making contact with the ball. For instance, 0 outs, nobody on and I hit a triple, the next THREE AI batters all strike out. Did the sliders mess something up or is that a known issue? Should I leave the AI pitch speed where it is or is there a value it has to be to get the AI to actually hit the ball?

The problem with AstrosWest is that some players are announced with wrong names, ie, Ryan Mattues being announced as Wang.

I never noticed that part....but it never really bothered me.

I TOTALLY forgot about the stadium mod from MVPMODS. THAT was the first
thing I did with the PC version.

I wish there was a PC version of 2K13....never happen, though.

The problem with AstrosWest is that some players are announced with wrong names, ie, Ryan Mattues being announced as Wang.

That does happen, but it's not really a big deal.

The rosters work well, and result in good simulated statistics.

Pretend his teammates nicknamed him Wang and get on with it. Amazed such little things ruin games for some people; one guy in the FIFA section said he stopped playing FIFA 13 because the pitch sidelines at Anfield were a few feet wider than in real life (?!).

People always talk about "immersion" or "realism".

I see one name on a guys jersey and I hear announcers talking about someone else. It's ridiculous. If it doesn't bother you, fine. I really don't see why it should matter to you if it bothers me. Go play your game.

We're more concerned about one's ability to progress through life when things like this ruin a game for someone. It kind of reminds me of Mauricio on Shallow Hal who couldn't date that bikini model because her second toe was longer than her big toe.
