I wonder how long the Yankees will stay with Giambi before they cut their losses and release him. Such a move would be rediculous given they still owe this guy close to 100 million dollars but if he does nothing but take up a roster spot it almost doesn't make a difference whether they keep him or release him.

Matsui doesn't have the strongest arm... but its been said that he has the quickest release of any outfielder in the bgis... which somewhat makes up for his average arm. Womack says hiis move to left isn't a big deal as he's played there before.

I'm just wondering how Torre is going to juggle Bernie, Giambi, Sierra, Tino, and Phillips at DH and 1B.

It seems like Cashman is starting to panic. I don't know why... I mean we're only 3 games worse than we were last April.

What an awful group of players to juggle. $200 mil payroll and this is the best they can do at 1B and DH?

That's the understatement of the year. Giambi is stealing money from the Yankees just by being under contract. Although Ruben is a decent hitter along with Tino against righties and Phillips looks to be promising.

Luckily April is over and Bernie can begin to shine again with his lifetime May and June average somewhere around .340 I believe.

The Yankees should go after one of these guys....

Roger Clemens, 1.03 ERA
Orlando Hernandez, 2.70 ERA
Jon Lieber, 2.81 ERA
Jose Contreras, 3.04 ERA
Brad Halsey, 3.21 ERA
Andy Pettitte, 3.23 ERA.

Where have I heard these names before?

Man it sucks. I wish we never let Pettitte, Halsey or El Duque left. I'm getting sick of all the all-stars. When we get more, we win less

Vazquez is coming on as well. He allowed 17 ER in his first three starts but in his last three starts he's 3-0 with a 1.50 ERA.
