If the Yanks get behind by about 12 games they better be pushing for the Wild Card. Kinda hard to catch a team that wins just about the same clip as you have to.

The problem is they are working themselves into quite a hole. Currently at 12-19 theyd need to win 83 more to get to 95 win mark, which is about where you need to be to get a playoff spot. 83 wins out of the next 131 would be a win pct of .624 for the rest of the season. Not saying it's impossible, but it's very difficult for a team to maintain that kind of pace over the full course of a season, especially a team with the current Yankees pitching staff.

Tell me about it.... he pitched a good game today... the ebst was his ability to work out of the bases loaded jams without leaving his pitches up in the zone in thos situations.
