A win.

Another excellent performance from Wang. He just made one bad pitch.

Big game for Cano as well.

Definately good to see that. I thought Ruben's shot was gonna go out in the 10th. Nontheless, a W is a W, hopefully this will spark us again. We HAVE TO win this afternoon.

Well, they didn't. I can't believe Quantril hasn't been designated for assignment. When was the last time the Twins took 2 out of 3 from the Yankees?

All this money spent towards starting pitching, and so far our best pitcher has been Wang.

Well, it's money not well spent. Brown and Mussina are way overpaid and Wright is on the DL. The Yankees payroll may be over 200 million, but its not a 200 million dollar team.

It's just that they're waaaaay too old. Steinbrenner/Cashman just didn't consider age when they aquired pitchers such as Brown and Quantrill. I mean it's not like these guys are in their 20's. Mussina was a smart investment when they got him.

Their current pitchers...

Kevin Brown is 40
Gordon is 38
Buddy Groom is 40
Randy Johnson turns 42 in September
Mussina is 36
Quantrill is 36
Rivera is 34
Stanton is 38
Sturtze is 35
Wang is 25
Pavano is 29

It's pretty pathetic when your second youngest pitcher is friggen 29 and you only have two pitchers under the age of 34. The staff is just too old as a whole. Groom, Gordon, Stanton, Quantrill and Brown should probably all be retired at this point in time. Mabye w. exceptions to Brown and Gordon when they actually have their **** together.

What would the date be on the new stadium being ready?

Obviously, I've got to go to a game at Yankee Stadium before then.
