****in' Sturtze, first batter gives up a HR.

Why not leave in Groom? He went 1.2 IP and only threw 12 pitches.

Shef grounds out with bases loaded... that was probably the game right there.

Giambi once again shows his inability to drive in runs with a runner on 3rd and one out by popping out. At least hit a ground ball and give him a chance to score you shmuck.

I agree Deeman, I think that about ended the game. When you've got that kind of opportunity and can't get anymore than 1 run across, its hard to think you'll get another chance like that again.

And on Giambi, why not pinch hit for him with Tino in that situation? Atleast Tino would've gotten Matsui across with it still being 1 out.

And Bay's homer just ended it with a 5-2 lead....someone needs to take Tanyon behind the woodshed for an *** beating.

No timely hits for the Yankees..

Any of you hear about this?

Re: Official New York Yankees Bleacher Creatures Team Thread

Our whole team is just a mess. I can't believe I didn't see this going into the season. I was so excited thinking "out only weakness was starting pitching... and then we get RJ... Pavano and Wright"

Unfortunately I failed to realize that Quantrill can no long get people out... Gordon is streaky... Sturtze is... well... Sturtze.... Groom is 41... Stanton is 38.... RJ is old... Pavano had one good year... Wright is always hurt and thrived under Mazzone... Giambi cant hit without his steroids... Womacks OBP is lower then down the left field line in Yankee Stadium... Bernie can't throw... and Posadas getting old.

It seemed so perfect going in but now that all of the problems have manifested at one... we have become a complete mess.
