Quickly down 2-0, and already making a rally...4-2 going into the 4th.

Re: Official New York Yankees Bleacher Creatures Team Thread

Great win tonight, although it looked mighty shaky near the end. They kept saying (on Yanks radio) how batters only had 1 hit off Rivera in the last 24 ABs, had only given up 1 run in the last 30 innings, etc...

It should be interesting tomorrow, as they've decided not to go with Sturtze (thank God) but instead Darrell May vs Scott Elarton. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a slugfest as neither of these pitchers are that great.

Man, does it feel good to be back in 2nd place again

However, we can't let up and and find ourselves 5.5 games going into the break.

I was definitely right about that...already 3-2 going into the bottom of the 2nd with 4 total homers.

Well May should be quickly sent back down to AAA.

2 IP, 55 pitches, 3 ER, 4 Hits...but 3 Ks as well.

All I can say is that Jose Hernandez OWNS Darrell May.

5-3 Tribe, going into the bottom of the 3rd.

Re: Official New York Yankees Bleacher Creatures Team Thread

I'm gone for one week and find myself searching through 10 pages of threads to find this one only to realize that a team thread forum was made.

Anyways Cano really killed us in the 9th. This is a perfect example of why you need to know how to bunt. He even said he was never asked to bunt in AAA and thats a problem when it will mean the difference between and win and a loss.

At least the bats were hot tonight but May is a AAA pitcher no question and has no place here. He couldn't get it done as a reliever in the NL and therres no way he can start in the AL.

ESPN is saying Kotsay signed a 3 year extension so I guess any possibility of getting him is gone.

Giambi does it again.

I'm actually starting to believe that this might be him returning to his old form and not just a week long fluke.

2.5 back.

Shaky outing by Johnson, but he pitched well enough to keep us in the game. Offense continues to roll.
