Because Cashman was embarassed that Bernie couldnt throw out a guy at home on a Sac Fly 10 feet behind 2nd base and we have no minor leaguers to trade for a good CF.

Yeah, the Yanks have already done a nice job at destroying their farm system the last few years. What they need to do is stop paying these 1 year wonder pitchers (Pavano, Wright) when they could have had a Matt Clement.

I think Cabrera's going to be okay. He's just simply a victim of being called up a bit too fast. He didn't last too long in AAA when he could've been there for a couple more months or next season. Bernie's just had some bad plays in the outfield, but that comes with age, and on top of that, even the better players have their bad days.

There are several young players the Yankees have played this season that will be the heir apparents to the Yankees in the next few years. Wang, Cano, and soon to be Cabrera could very well be special players. Their farm system isn't scary but there are some gems down there.

17-1...Jesus.

And that ****ing Ogre hit a grand slam.

The Yankees have two weeks to make some moves...they better get some relief pitching!

Our best pitcher of the game is warming up in the bullpen...

(and no I'm not kidding)

Backup catcher John Flaherty.

Apparently Joe Torre has gone mentally ill or he wants to put our devasted fans in a better mood by providing some comedy.

Oh boo.... he only came in to catch. I don't know how many catchers throw off of a mound in the bullpen to come in and catch though. Thanks for getting my hopes up... I needed a new relief pitcher in my fantasy league.

Oh well, at least we got Unit tomorrow and although hes been crap... he at least makes us look somewhat credible.

I have a bet going with my firend that the Unit would win at least 18 games at the begining of the season. He needs 9 more, but I really don't feel it being tomorrow for some reason.

Great win for the Sox. The Yankees have been among the worst in the majors at carrying momentum this year. Great granny by Papi too.

Re: Official New York Yankees Bleacher Creatures Team Thread

So have any Yankee fans besides me prepared to hear that Wang is out for the year... Brown won't be effective... and by the time Pavano is back.. we may be done?

Is it time to push the panic button yet?

We need to sacrifice a big bat and get some pitching. Just ask Sheff what team he'd consider going to and get hm there for a pitcher. He's the only expendable hitter we have.
