This offense is on another world. At any given time we explode. Manny and Ortiz are unlike any force in baseball.

Here's to Boomer for getting it done tomorrow. Bonderman will be a tough task. (Besides the 10th) this offense really has to pick up. You're not going to be successful when you get TWO hits against Nate F'N Robertson.

THANK GOD!

Graffy for 2nd basemen...Until Pedroia.
Funny how you're so willing to kick the man to the curb, yet, the Red Sox do not win the World Series in 2004 without Mark Bellhorn as the starting second baseman. I thought that every single member of the 2004 Red Sox would receive deity status among Red Sox fans following a championship; obviously, people let their own psychotic misplaced hatred get in the way of appreciating one of the true unsung players from the 2004 Red Sox.

Clearly, he's not the same player in 2005 than he was in 2004. I don't support getting rid of Graffanino for Bellhorn, though I'm disappointed to possibly see him finished as a Red Sox. Again, Pokey Reese and most other 2B in 2004 do not hit that home run of Lieber in Game 6, and the game winning home run in Game 1 of the World Series off Tavarez.

Re: Official Boston Red Sox 2005 Thread

What a crazy game that was. When I saw the type of stuff Rodney had, I just knew Ortiz was going to launch one. It was stupid of Trammel to pull Robertson, I would have let him continue and I was psyched to see Rodney come in. The 10th was just rediculous. Just when people around Boston are ready to hand the MVP award over to Manny, Ortiz fires back.

I think Remlinger is done. He's just plain terrible. I'm hoping they move Papelbon to the pen because I think he could be lights out for the Red Sox. And with Schilling struggling, I'd be willing to let him try closing games out for some of September and see how he responds. Though I'd rather that Foulke comes back strong and solidifies that role so the Sox don't have to experiment further.
