Re: Official Boston Red Sox 2005 Thread

I ended up watching bits and pieces of this game, despite my frustration with the team growing with every second. The player I came away most impressed with was Papelbon. This kid has no fear and trusts his stuff and his catcher completely. Should Timlin slip up at some point, I'd have no fear in going to Papelbon in the 9th. He's blossoming right before our eyes.

And what more can be said of Ortiz. If the Red Sox make the playoffs, he is hands down the MVP unless Arod pulls off something amazing this weekend. He's been so good, I'm nearly prepared to say as long as the Sox do not get swept and go down fighting he wins the MVP. And it certainly can't hurt that Manny is all of a sudden becoming a clutch hitter.

its 04' all over again down 3-1...a sweep is needed I dont expect anything less out of this team...and they can pull it off just gotta believe...Renteria is startin to get on base..Manny and Ortiz are both clutch..just need the bottom half of the lineup to produce..

Wells made some great pitches against A-Rod and didn't get one of them...

now he's struggling.

He thought Wang gave his ball to Jeter. That's why Damon went to 3rd.

For the record, I will never, ever tire of Wang jokes.
