I'm not sure if Olerud could handle playing that much. I would however, ship Millar and call up Roberto Petagine. He could split AB's with Olerud against RHP's and Youks could hit LHP.

How is Petagine performing? I havent heard anything about him since he injured himself in spring training.

EDIT: Nevermind, I dug them up myself and the numbers are good.

I'm with you and cam, Millar should be moved so we can atleast salvage a prospect or a marginal reliever. A while back I was hoping we could package Shoppach for a 1B prospect like Adrian Gonzalez of Texas, but my hopes aren't that high when I'm thinking realistically.

With the needs in the pen and our continual restocking of the minors, there's no reason why both of these guys couldn't bring a decent return for us.

Minor league news....

Jacoby Ellsbury got signed and sent to Lowell to get his season started. That leaves Craig Hansen as the only guy who's unsigned, and man do we need this guy! I'll probably head over there to see this kid play, but Monday I'm making my first trip to Portland to watch the Sea Dogs. Should be fun.
