If the Red Sox get Burnett this will really make their pitching staff much better. The question is, "Who are they going to trade for him?"

Great idea. Arroyo is an average pitcher to me.

I wouldn't agree with that totally

We could get to the playoffs without Schilling in the rotation.

Their is no AL team with such dominant pitching that could stop us from clobbering our way through the AL playoffs.

I hate talking about the playoffs this early though, so I'll stop here.

That was a good win yesterday, though definitly a little deceiving. Miller pitched well but not really shut-out well, the White Sox had their chances and blew it. They made three outs on the bases and couldn't get the timely hit to drive anyone in.

Schilling's stuff continues to be erratic. I can't imagine him being successful in the rotation right now. He can't get his fastball past 92 for an inning, what will it be like over the duration of 6 innings?

I think Schilling will be alright in the rotation. There are different preparations taken when starting a game rather than coming out of the bullpen and since he's uysed to starting, I'm sure when he gets back to his normal routine, he'll be fine and his velocity will get back up.

Anyways, tied 3-3 in the 8th now... Wells pitched pretty good, good enough for a quality start anyways... but the offense needs to take advantage of the Devil Rays pitching. I see this as a key series for you guys to distance yourselves from the Yanks as we have two tough series with the Twins and Angels coming up. I think nows the time when its going to be decied if the Sox are really going to take the divison or let us stick around close enough to make up a lot of games in August and September.

Well that game sucked

Manny needed to come through in that situation at the top of the 9th, and my state of mind of Schilling being done for the year is, yet again, getting even stronger.
