Anyone know why we play the Rockies, Giants, and DBacks, but then play the Pirates?

Yankees made their 1st Rule 5 draft pick since 1995 signing first baseman Josh Phelps from Baltimore.

I remember he played in the majors a bit with the Blue Jays and he had decent power, but also struck out a lot.

So I guess they will be carrying 3 first basemen on the roster now with Giambi, Phillips, and Phelps.
