Re: The 2006 New York Yankees

I can't see anyway the Phillies would let go of Abreu this early. Even if they don't plan on contending for the next couple years, shipping Abreu off so early in the year would be screwing themselves out of a lot of tickets being sold.

He might go at the all star break but I doubt any earlier.

A-Rod goes deep, 1-0 Yankees in the 6th.

Good duel so far between Zito and Wang.

Well, the Phils were shipping Abreu all offseason. The Yanks would have to come with a good offer though. Meaning, pitching. I don't think they wll end up with Abreu but that would be ideal for them, seeing as Sheff is most likely on his way out after this year.

Mariano shuts the door after a little bit of a scare.

Great job by Wang. Best he's pitched all year.

Great win, I guess that's how were gonna have to do it nowadays. Would have liked to see Wang for the complete game shut out especially after Bernie's homerun.

Also it's also nice to have a "mangeable" game as Michael Kay would say, meaning less than 3 hours. Our games always seem to be well over 3 hours.
