Re: The 2006 New York Yankees

Big start yesterday for Jaret Wright, he has now gained my trust. A good start tonight for Randy can turn things around for him too.

I'll definitely be watching with fingers crossed tonight.

Totaly agree with you about Jaret. Jaret has always had excellent stuff. He needs to get ahead of the hitters and believe in himself a little more. Now Randy on the other hand looks lost. I hope he can put things back together and a good start tonight will help for sure. One more thing is Manny still standing at the plate admiring his homerun? The homerun was definitely a shot, but your losing 7-1 put your head down and run the bases. I ask you old timers this if you did this against Bob Gibson what would happen next?

Re: The 2006 New York Yankees

Wasn't able to watch more than the first couple of innings. Sounds like a good win. Wright pitched good, but at least from what I saw he was getting in a lot of trouble, Sox couldn't capitalize. A-Rod with a big 3 run homerun, but I'm guessing they'll be calling into the FAN today saying it didn't count because they were up 3 runs at the time so the game wasn't close enough.

Hopefully Randy Johnson can get through a few innings tonight.

It really shows in that 5.13 career ERA. He might put together a few solid starts once in awhile but let's be serious, he's still Jaret Wright.

I will definately be rooting for the Yanks tonight. I have Randy Johnson on the mound tonight in fantasy, and I really could use a solid final 3/4 of the year from him.

What time is the game on? 1 EST? I will be following it closely before the WCF.

No idea how that guy got paid like he did. Had one decent season in Atlanta after years of mediocre seasons.

Yes Jaret Wright is way over paid i agree. His stuff is good and that has nothing to do with era. Alot of pitchers have had great stuff, but can't make it in the show. If you are constantly behind in the count you can't use that stuff to your advantage and the hitters get the advantage. Bottom line is he needs to throw strikes in order to be able to keep the hitters off balance.
