Re: The 2006 New York Yankees

Great win, one of the best of the year imo. Randy pitched very well, and hopefully this is a start of him turning around a little.

Offense took advantage of our chances. Tigers failed to turn 2 double plays and we took advantage of those, and the other 2 runs came on 2 clutch 2 out hits.

Nice pitching by Randy and the pen. Shutting down the Tigers offense is pretty impressive, they had 7 guys in their lineup batting .300 or higher.

This is a big series for not only us but for the Tigers, it will be an interesting test for both teams.

Great win yesterday with Johnson finally pitching good.

I doubt he will do it again in his next start. This will be his pattern all season once every four or five starts he will pitch a gem and look like the Randy of old.I hope I am wrong, but I really think he is finished.

Watching Mike and the Madd Dog on YES, and they will hae an update in a half-hour on Damon. Supposedly his foot is hurting and he could be heading to the DL.

Re: The 2006 New York Yankees

Both teams blow opportunities in the first. Yankees waste a leadoff Melky Cabrera triple, Tigers get the bases loaded with nobody out and can't score.
