I agree it's just not the way the Yankees normally are calling up rookies to replace veterans. I guess the past 2 years with all these young kids coming up and being productive has made them go to thier farm for help more often before making a trade.

They also need to showcase some guys from their system. The rest of the league isn't very high on their farm system but if someone comes up and looks good then they have someone with a little trade value.

Well that sucks. 2 heartbreakers in a row.

Wang did a really good job. Would have been nice to get some run support.

I haven't caught a Yanks game in what seems like forever. I finally have a clean slate tonight, I'm looking forward to sitting down and watching a full game for a change. It'll be nice to see this Hamels kid pitch as well.

Let's hope after last night's comeback they can start a hot streak. The last couple of weeks they have started to drag a bit.

How about Bernie Williams? On fire lately, and had 5 hits last night.

Hopefully the offense can carry over tonight. Going to need it with Wright on the mound. Doesn't look like the bullpen will get any rest either, Wright hasn't pitched more than 6 innings all year, and he's only gone 6 three times.

Great win tonight. I would have liked Torre to let Wright pitched the 6th, but can't argue with success. Again good pitching and timely hitting came thru tonight. Then knock in some insurance runs late in the game and that is a formula for success.
