Re: The 2006 New York Yankees

What do you guys think of A-Rod? There's no way in my mind that "we" should deal him, but just wanted to seee what some other Yankee's fans were thinking.

Getting a bum rap. He's still among the league's best offensive players. Sure, he hasn't been good this year, but he does not deserve to get booed after every AB

Riiight. I forgot we're only allowed to watch our own teams.

Beckett's doing well today. Nothing like a game against the Royals to get back on track.

Definitely he shouldn't be getting boo'd after every at bat. Other than the contract that seems to turn everyone off, I think some Yankee fans got spoiled with how "easy" Brosius seemed to make things look at third. Granted A-Rod's errors are high, but think about the lean time before Brosius. Remember the final out in the 96 Series was caught by Charlie Hayes! I guess my point is that A-Rod's positives far outweigh the errors and the strikeouts. Everyone strikes out. I'll always be a Yankee fan, but I think the crowd need to lighten up abit on him.

129 pitches from Johnson. 11 K's.

What an effort. Should have only given up 2 runs if it wasn't for Stinnett's bad throw.

Hopefully we can rally and get a win out of it.

Re: The 2006 New York Yankees

I hate ARod, but he's been getting slammed by the fans this year and unjustly, for the most part. Yeah his defense has been pretty bad and he had a bad June, but otherwise his numbers are pretty good. He's hitting over .300 with men in scoring position and hitting an even better .326 with men in scoring position and 2 outs. Thirteen of his twenty homeruns have been with men on, and he's a .500 hitter with the bases loaded, with two grand slams. He's hardly been deadweight in that lineup this year.
